Refiner’s Fire is built for people who want to study scripture, grow in faith, find encouragement, and work through real life with Jesus Christ at the center. These are some of the questions readers may have as the project grows.
Is Refiner’s Fire connected to a church?
No. Refiner’s Fire is an independent faith project founded and created by Steven Bullcoming Haworth under Bullcoming Enterprises. It is not an official publication of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or any other denomination.
Is Refiner’s Fire Christian?
Yes. The project is centered on faith in God and discipleship through Jesus Christ. Its devotionals, worship music, recovery reflections, and scripture studies are intended to encourage people to turn toward Christ, pray, study, repent, grow, forgive, endure, and live their faith more deliberately.
Why is the Book of Mormon included?
Because Refiner’s Fire comes from a Latter-day Saint Christian perspective. Latter-day Saints regard the Book of Mormon as another testament of Jesus Christ. Refiner’s Fire also serves readers from other traditions, so Bible-only material and Latter-day Saint Standard Works material are identified separately whenever that distinction matters.
Do I have to be Latter-day Saint to use the site?
No. Readers from any Christian tradition, another faith tradition, or no particular religious tradition are welcome to read and study. You do not have to agree with every conclusion. Respectful questions and careful study are welcome.
Will there be worship music?
Yes. Original Refiner’s Fire worship songs are being developed along with lyric sheets, chord material, arrangement notes, and eventually audio samples. The project favors simple, prayerful, singable music rather than performance for its own sake.
Will membership cost money?
No paid subscription is planned for basic membership. The future member area is intended to provide access to Refiner’s Fire software and tools, member resources, saved material, worship-related features, and project updates. Public registration will not open until the login and account-security system is ready.
Will donations be required?
No. Donations, when a secure donation system is added, will be optional. They may help with hosting, printing, recording, resource development, and community distribution, but people will not have to donate in order to read the public devotional and study material.
Will Refiner’s Fire have YouTube, podcasts, or other channels?
That is part of the longer-term plan. The immediate priority is building a strong library of written studies, devotionals, worship material, downloads, and member resources first. Video, audio, and other channels can grow from that foundation rather than becoming another platform that has to be fed before the core project is ready.
Can I request a topic?
Yes. Refiner’s Fire has a Contact / Request a Topic page for questions, study ideas, and suggestions. Not every request will become a publication, but thoughtful questions can help shape future studies and devotionals.
