Faith does not only belong to Sunday worship or formal scripture study. Many of the questions people carry are about ordinary life: what we consume, how we use technology, how we make decisions, how we treat our bodies, how we respond to new tools, and how we live our beliefs in a changing world.
This section of Refiner’s Fire is for those conversations. Some articles will begin with scripture. Others may begin with history, church teaching, a cultural question, or a new technology. The goal is not to force every modern issue into a simple answer, but to think carefully, pray honestly, distinguish doctrine from opinion, and ask what faithful living looks like in practice.
Faith, health, and everyday choices
Topics here may include questions about hot drinks and the Word of Wisdom, food and health practices, personal habits, stewardship, recovery, and the difference between a religious principle and the cultural assumptions that sometimes grow around it.
Faith and technology
Refiner’s Fire will also examine technology and faith, including artificial intelligence. AI can help people research, organize, create, study, and communicate, but it also raises important questions about truth, authorship, discernment, dependence, privacy, misinformation, and the difference between a tool that assists us and a spiritual authority that should never be replaced.
These articles will be written as thoughtful reflections and studies rather than quick slogans. When a topic involves official church teaching, historical claims, science, health, or technology, sources should be identified clearly so readers can distinguish personal reflection from documented information.
A growing section
This section will grow as existing Refiner’s Fire writings are reviewed and prepared for publication. New topics can also be added when questions arise that do not fit neatly inside Bible Study, Book of Mormon Study, Recovery & Encouragement, or Worship Music.
